    2003 Passatt 130 Sport TDI

I have been following many threads on forum to cure vibration at the above engine revs but without success, very frustrating. Had the front bumper off to examine headlamp vibration and noticed that intercooler mounting brackets were worn. I have now replaced all three mounting rubbers on intercooler and it is now cured.

    Hi

Just fixed my Head light vibrating today after i read that this was a known issue with VW and they suggest un do the 2 screws at the top of the head light and pull it forward and re tighten so the bottom of the light sits tighter on the bumper

    Sorted

    Annoying little fault

If you have any pics of the intercoller mounts would be very useful

Sorry no pics of intercooler mountings, there is a single mount at the bottom where a peg on intercooler pushes through a rubber grommet, at the top just below n/s headlamp there are 2 rubber bushes with a metal collar that 2 pegs on intercooler sit down into. Its bumper off and bonnet locking panel foward into service position, front engine under tray off and remove top and bottom intercooler hoses then once you have pulled lower mounting peg through grommet you need to lift intercooler to clear top 2 mountings. Intercooler is removed from underside of car. remove old bushes and refit.
