Diesel engines........BETTER !!!!!, that doesn't help does it......
Fewer moving parts, no ignition system, Ideal for static and mobile power plants, prime movers.
Diesel is a lubricant, petrol is a solvent.

Am I right in thinking that diesel is a more explosive combustion process where petrol just burns

Also, deisels have their torque at much lower revs making them more accessable for everyday driving.

    Diesels don't rev as high...
Common rail/Pump duse... Dont know what the technical details of those are, but I'm sure you can find out easily enough.

One is clattery and runs on diesel fuel and the other guzzles down petroleum

What sort of differences? Like fundamental differences such as diesels don't have spark plugs? Or more subtle differences such as difference in exhaust gas temperature?

Yeah, it's a killer! Got about 20 CAD drawings attached as well!

Are you at college or uni? I'm in my 2nd year of studying engineering at Bath college.

Nice to know someone else has been deprived of a social life too
