Q5 Diesel

I wondered if you could help with the following questions in respect of the Q5 2.0 TDi 170 BHP

1. What type of cam belt does this engine have?
2. Does the Q5 have heated washers?
3. I have had terrible experiences with failing turbo chargers on a VW Golf 115PS TDi and wondered if anyone has encountered similar problems with this Audi

Hi,

It's a belt not a chain. Yes, the Q5 should have heated washer jets (I think Audi fit them as standard). The Q5 TDi 170 is fitted with the new generation Common Rail diesel engine, which has only been around for about 18 months, but from what I hear, it's proving to be pretty reliable so far.

Proud owner of a Dec 2008 Q5 3.0 TDI. 30,000 km.
Unfortunately I can confirm that this model did not come standard with heated washers. Pity as they are essential here.
