    Done a minor bit of servicing to my brakes yesterday to cure a small squeek when cold. Noticed that there was a wear sensor on the front nearside, but couldnt see any others. Is it only fitted to this brake?

    Apparently yes. VW have worked it out that they all will wear out at the same time....

    God forbid if the rears and fronts are changed at different times.

    Yes my fathers' Rover 75 only has a sensor fitted to the front and rear offside brakes
