    Hi All..

I have a 2007 A8. Ive looked at a number of posts and wanted to confirm a couple of questions.. current versions are..

    SW: d3-hu 34.5.0 0632
    HW: d3-hu 6300d2.0
    FC SW: 05421afc6ab320040
FC PS: 0040 fc hw: h01

I'm assuming that my current firmware version is 3450. Can I simply upgrade to 5570 using the 3 cd's installed into the cd player? I understand you have to put them in tray 1 individually and reboot each time.. with cd 2 being installed twice.

I've also read that some functions may not work and will need to use VAG. is this correct?

Finally.. I have the 2009 Europa Nav DVD. Will this still work ok or do I need a new DVD for the 3D navigation?

    thanks!

    NGT

all correct but go to address 07 before the update and record the adaption values from all the channels and re input the values after the update so you dont lose your mmi functions.

thanks for the reply.. unfortunately I don't know how to get to the Adaption Values.. I was hoping I could just upgrade via the 3 cd's. does this involve additional kit/hardware?

Do you know what upgrades are in 5570? is it just 3d navigation?

I was hoping it would fix my bluetooth connection too.. I have a HTC Touch Pro 2 which does sync but I first have to dial out with my phone to establish a connection.. (the phone and signal bars then appear on the MMI screen) I then go to the Telephone option and dail a "0". obviously this won't ring anyone and the mobile phone displays an error.. but I can then dial directly from the mobilephone or the address book within MMI and it all works and I can speak hands free!

any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Attachment 7710

    Do you mean this phone

The 3 disc final release consist of a bt clean up cd, a bt update cd and the last disc is the standard mmi network update which updates the zug list.
3d mapping is enabled unless you mean 3G mmi which requires a full retro fit to replace the 2G

If unsure how to update take it to your dealer and save yourself a potential failure like so many other diy updates which go wrong

The bt up gate is specific to which pr code phone prep you have installed

It's the replacement module to this.. it's a HTC Touch Pro 2.

I think I'll take your advice and go to the main dealer.. doing a DIY job and ruining the car for a couple of 3D buildings on satnav is probably not worth it!

    thanks again!

    Correct.
Contact htc as the previous model had full operation with Audi bt systems.
I have access to the most up to date phone data base and the new htc model has yet to be listed as approved or what functionality.
As you own a A8 you may find your local dealer may well carry out the update foc or if you have any work carried out and mention the update they may well carry this out as a goodwill gesture.
Are you out of warranty as if you are still in make the complaint that the sat nav freezes from time to time and you may find they run the update
