My 1.8T is running on 3 cylinders. Ive carried out absolutly every test and my conclusion is that the coil on the number 2 isnt getting a signal. It gets a live feed whel the ignition is turned on, but refused to put anything out to the plug. Has anybody got any clues how on earth in going to solve this one?!

Nope, I tested the coil pack on the other cylinders, worked fine. By sheer coincedence I've sorted it now. Its a hugely common fault on these engines, in the ignition amplifier. I thought I had nothing to loose so ripped it open, and Iv managed to fix it! So chuffed with myself, I'll be posting a how to tomorrow
