    hi there,

is it poss to upgrade mmi screen? i mean replace monochrome one to colour screen. i know that colour one is bigger so i guess panel replacement is neccesary as well;/ if so, what would be the cost.

    thanks

yes you can but from mmi basic to mmi high you need to retro fit the full system and this would be in access of £2000

    doesnt sound good, does it?

this car already got sat nav but directions are shown on the little dashboard screen (not on mmi). i want replace mmi for a bigger one (colour), and display normal graphic sat nav on it. does it still appear as a high mmi upgrade?

price 2k u mentioned..is it audi or street garage price?

    thanks

You need to post your vehicle details, audi will not under take such a retro fit and only a few people will and certainly not your local garage

Im also interested in this and it's really well documented on the audi forums, but I guess the real question asked was can you do it in stages?

ie.....initially just replace the screen & trim. Then do the other bits as money dictates.

Thats your choice but I would source all the parts first and then install as the fitment will always throw a few problems up.

the guy who fitted my Dension this week told me he has retrofitted MMI High before for about £1800 if my memory serves me correctly. If you do a search on the web/ebay for THEVAGSHOP you will find him easily enough. Based in West London.
