Having read as many posts on this issue as i can,no one seems to be having the same issue as me...
I have the instruction book on this system which tells me how to put the code into the radio, but when i hold down the FM and DX buttons it does nothing...just stays in safe mode no "1000" appears on the display.
    I'm sure it's just something simple..(i hope!!)..can anybody help
    regards dave

When you see "1000" in the display, are you then using the button "1", "2", "3", "4" to change the display to the 4-digit access code for your radio? You didn't say you were following that step.

You can try disconnecting the battery to reset the radio. Then try the code procedure again. HTH.
