Had the exact same problem with my '06 A6 Allroad 3.0 TDI, thankfully local Audi dealer replaced all amplifiers etc. without charging me.

Audi not playing ball at the moment....!! we'll see about that. They want £848 for repair to pipe and replacement amplifier.

After a lengthy discussion with the dealership I parted with £700 for a replacement control unit, whatever that is.

They also replaced the hose which they "allegedly" replaced 14 months ago.

I only bought my 06 Audi allroad yesterday. This morning when I start driving around same problem. I did use the rear washer a lot on the way back over about 3 hrs drive due to so much salt on the road.

thanks for the post. I have an aa gold warranty. covers everything except the entertainment system! hopefully caught it before irreperable damge to the electrics.

Interestingly I phoned the local Audi dealer (not who I bought it from) he said it was probably the washer leaking and the noise is caused by water getting into the amp and creating a short.

The dealer I bought the car from said they would cover it.
    Fingers crossed

Ouch, this is costing the dealer I bought the car from £1300 to fix.

Tried going to vag repairer but he said he can't deal with the fibre optic system yet. So had to go to a main dealer.

Caused buy a split in the tubing probably because of the very cold weather.
