Can anyone help me with this. I start my car in the morning, it starts first turn then stops after about say 3 seconds. I then have to turn the engine over until almost the point of a flat battery until it starts. Its just had a new fuel filter and all the connections are tight. I originally thought this was the problem. Has anyone experienced this?

Hi Andy, if this problem just raised its ugly head since you had the new filter fitted then its almost definetly connected. Could well be an air lock of some kind or drawing air from somewhere....could be a dodgy fuel filter(incorrectly fitted?) Try turning the ignition on and off a few times before actually cranking as this will make the low pressure pump build up some pressure before starting...it could be that this pump is playing up..
