i have a 2003 tdi130 estate and today all my electric windows stopped working they all click when you press the buttons but no movement and i need them to open for work as i need to swipe to get in the gate i have done a little research and found info in the ccm but i want to be sure before i rip that out to have a look

is there a relay that could be at fault somewhere?

I'd suspect that the windows have frozen shut.

Mine does this but after 10 minutes of driving with the heater on, they thaw out and work again.

If you're hearing a click then the relay is fine.

If all of them stopped working, it must be something that's common to them all such as the relay, fuse or control unit.

Can't help any more than that sorry.

It is probably the ccm failing to communicate properly with the door control units and doors. It is usually the wires to the ccm. You will need to unwrap them and have a good look at any joints. You may even have to peel back some of the plastic insulation to reveal rotten wires.

right i have had the ccm out and its all ok nothing wrong in there dry as a bone and all wires ok i am now suspecting the wires in the drivers door as all the windows are run through the drivers door but what could be the problem as the doors are all clicking but no power to the motors is the motor power a seperate wire to the switch power? or couls it be a relay problem and if it could where are the relays?

They don't have relays in a traditional sense. The door control unit acts like a collection of electronic relays that are triggered by impulses from the two can-bus wires. This means only one power wire to power all the functions. The function that works, depends on the can-bus signal received. A vag-com read should tell you where the fault most likely is.
