    Hi guys,

    I just bought Golf Mk3 Cab on 1998 plate, The drivers side window is just dead there is no power its not doing anything, I've looked at the cable in the door hinges it all seems fine the rest of the windows are working fine too, Any help would be great!!!!

    does it work from the drivers side switch. on my other half car, her pass side switch doesnt work, but it does from the other switch mounted on the driver door

    If that suggestion is a no go mate, suggest direct feed from a battery to the window motor itself. If that doesn't give a result then you'll know what the problem is. If you own or can get hold of a spare battery (or even off your own if you have sufficiently long cables to test from it) then just clip on (or tape as it's not a long job) and away you go.

    Without sounding like a daft git, have you taken the door cards off before?! :lol: They can be simple or a pain in the ar*e depending on how lucky you are... kinda pot luck depending on previous owners and what they've been up to with them!
