Hi folks. Newbie here loving this place to bits! Wicked site!

Anyway, straight to the point. Just got hold of a 1.9D Golf MK3 97 P reg... all i am wondering is this really (and i'm guessing the answer is a YES YOU CAN from what i can gather)...

Mine is a 3 door... but would the front wing from a 5 door fit?

Currently i have one wing (drivers side) that is miles out of position, rusting and also has the oblong side repeater (the passenger side has the oval!) so... i'm thinking just get any standard Golf MK3 black wing with oval repeater to match the opposite side and bingo... is my logic correct or am i a mile out on this one?!! lol

By the way... Seasons Greetings to you all and a Happy New Year

P.S. Seperate issue... really annoying me this one is... door trim... what size of the 3 clips do you need for the left hand side of the drivers door to hold the thing on? Local dealer giving me a load of trash because none of the 3 he supplied seem to work. It just keeps popping out

If i remeber correctly there are either plastic or rubber sleeves that fit into the holes in the door plate,if they are not there the clips, will not sit properly and water can also run down the inside of the door frame and out through the holes

Yes that's right mate. There are 3 different size of clip which i've had 1 of each of from my local dealer, TL Darby. They have like a little rubber helmet if that makes sense. Anyway, i was 'assured' that one of the 3 different lengths would be right... nope, so now i dunno what to do. Mitre Bond glue is looking favourite at this rate! LOL

Yes mate... tried it with them, without them (actually locked in without... for about 5 seconds before it popped out again!), you name it! Think i'll just get the stanley knife on it and slice a thin section off the locking wing and see it that helps!
