    Hi folks,

New to the forum, hoping someone can shed a little light for me.

I have a 2000 A6 2.5 tdi quattro which recenlty lost power intermittantly.

I have hooked it up to my local garages diagnostics which has shown up a MAP sensor faulty reading.

As the fault is intermittant and random when it occurs it makes more sense to me that it is a faulty sensor rather than other possibilities?

With this in mind I have got a new MAP sensor but can't see where it is fitted to the car?

I have checked the inlet manifold and associated pipework as far as I can without taking bits apart and can't see where it is. Quite possibly looking straight at it but hoping someone can point me in the right dirtection. According to auto data it is located under the drivers headlight area but is shown in a hatched box (Indicating something has to be removed to see it). Like I said I have looked everywhere I can without stripping the front of the car!

Help!! hopefully someone will have a piccy or a good idea on location.

    Thanks in advance

    Mike.

Passenger headlight out and you can get at it

Took undertray off before I saw your reply and you can just see it so i then tried getting at it with the bumper on. Took passenger headlight out and hey presto there it was!

If someone can tell me how to resize pics to forum friendly sizes I will post a pic for anyone else trying to find it!

    Mike

Oh and thanks a lot for the info pointed me in the right direction would have spent hours looking over all pipes again otherwise!

No worries helped me find it in the first place!

Just I was determined not to remove the bumper outside in what was fast becoming dark and already freezing so removed the headlight for a better look! This time I got lucky!
