Coolant

Got a warning through the DIS this morning saying I am low on coolant, I checked the bottle and this is right.

Is there a recommended type of coolant for the 3.0TDI?

Hey there, I'm sure you'll find its G12 but check anyways.

Have you had coolant loss issues before? Worth keeping an eye on as some of the Tdi's have suspect hairline cracked / porous cylinder heads that allow coolant into the engine.
I've had 2 replacement cylinder heads although mine is a 2.0

Ive only had the car since April so ive experienced nothing yet, the car was serviced by Audi in March so Id guess this wouldve been topped up to max at the service?

Its currently just below the MIN mark now. Is this consumption normal?

I'll get the wife to buy some at Audi this afternoon and fill it up.

I think G12 has been superceeded by G12+, maybe even now by G12++ which I've heard rumours about. As far as I know G12++ can be mixed with either safely.
