Has any one else had the same, recurring, problem as me - namely stones becoming trapped in the front brake calipers? I have had my A3 for 18 months and already have had to remove a caliper 3 times to deal with this. The caliper itself seems to be poorly designed, with a recess close to the hub, which is a perfect home for stones that have been flung up by the tyres. The symptom is an horrendous screeching noise that comes and goes as the stone moves around - sometimes getting caught as the brake disc turns. I'm worried this'll eventually lead to some serious damage.
