255/40 R19s on A6 55 reg SE, 2.0 tdi, after fitting these lovely tyres, covering the ugly SE suspension, giving a nicer sporty look ( I know i should have gone for S-line..but nonetheless) do I have to be looking out for anything in components? speedo? Gearbox? clutch? will that affect the car in any bad way? I noticed its nicer on cornering..
anyways, any advice would be appreciated? did I do a stupid thing???

    Hi,

The correct size to maintain the rolling radius for an A6 4F is 255/35 R19.

With these 40 profile tyres fitted, your wheels have an overall circumference 80mm larger than standard, which means your speedo will read roughly 4% slower than your actual speed.

Why did you go for the 40 profile tyres rather than 35? I can't imagine there's much difference in cost...

Don't forget to tell your insurance, by the way. It will probably make no difference to your premium, but you don't want to find you're not covered later on if you need to make a claim...

hi thx for the reply.again, I did it for the looks nothing else. My A6 is a C6 not a 4F so will that differ? Will that affect the clutch and gearbox aside from the speedo ? I informed my insurance that I changed my rims to 19s which logically means that the tyres should be changed if they have any logic init

Hello peeps! just passed my MOT at my local dealer, passed with no probs and FOR FREE!!!! ausome!!

here are some fotos as promised. they really look better in real life. I really love when you look at it from behind, the tyres are popping out a tiny bit, giving a BMW 5-series M package like look

looking at the pics, the offset looks wrong - does the car tramline on the motorway?

I am surprised the dealer didn't pic up on the MOT that it is not legal if the tyre sticks out beyond the wheel arch - as it is classed as a danger to pedestrians.

You are right though - at least it looks good!

well actually if u look closer, it doesnt really stick out beyond the wheel arc as such, just looking from behind, sticks a bit out of the wheel arch which is at the bumper not the wing itself. so its still inside the wing wheel arch.
