    what can be done to get a few more horses out of it .

    can it be chiped or is it more like parts upgrades.

    exhaust ,cams etc.

    Pipercross do a cone filter with a cold air feed. I found the jetex exhaust to be reasonably priced and a remap after this will lossen up some ponies.

    I havent started on mine yet due to funds but I am definately going down that route. Not huge gains but I am sure it will be enough for you to notice a difference.

    Then again, I do notice your post is from 2009 so hey, you could have an RS6 by now!
