    Hi,

I own a MK4 golf TDI, I have had some problems in the past with the rear axle bushes banging which has been sorted out and at the same time I had the front roll bar bushes changed.

Shortly after the front ones were changed, I am now experiencing creaking noise from the from suspension, it is getting worse and now any slight movement in the car it starts creaking, even just pulling away and especially when I go over speed humps.

I took the car back to the garage that changed the bushes, and he said it has nothing to do with the bushes, Im not convinced and need some advice on what this noise can be.

My car has its M.O.T at the end of the month, and need to get this resolved quickly.

I would appreciate any suggestions on where this noise could be coming from.

    Thank you in advanced

did u have the anti-roll bar replaced aswell as the bushes at the same time? as just replacing one dosent always help....also if they have replaced the anti-roll bar the subframe has to be lowered...they may have not put new bolts in and not tightened the subframe tightly. allowing creaking in movement.

    Hi

    Thanks for a quick response,

They only replaced the roll bar bushes,

At the time of replacing these bushes there was no creaking noise coming from the suspension.

    Hi

i have exactly the same problem on my mk 4 golf, every movement it creaks appears to be coming from the fornt right of the car and centre, so i had my garage look at this, couldnt find anything wrong so i took it to a second garage couldnt find a fault, so they suggested it could of been the bushes, so i had a new sihbone installed which replaced all front bushes and new shocks, but still have the issue, does the noise get worse over time, the longer you drive the worse its sounds

I Looked aT a skoda fabia once that did this. Not sure if the golf has the same setup but it had a terrible creaking noise even from the slightest movement.

Anyway it turned out to be the big round mounting at the rear of the wish-bone!! I etablished this by spraying WD-40 onto the bush and it shut up. After replacing the wishbones it still did this so i think it may be design issue!
