    Hi Everyone,

2005 Estate has given this warning after being run on very low oil - not by me, by someone I lent the car to.

'Low Oil Pressure Injector Failure was the dignostic message.

After cleardown, turn on electrics, then Red Light, Low oil pressure - STOP.

    Then the same Diagnostic message.

The engine will turn over, but sounds like it has reduced compression and will not start.

    Is it @@@gerred??

Any advice - apart from don't lend your car to idiots - gratefully received.

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers,

    Paul

Afraid the diagnostics don't look promising, but the first thing you will need to check is the oil pressure

    Hi,

    Thanks for the feedback.

Is that an easy thing to do - or is there a thread I could check that you know of - I can't find it if there is,

    Cheers,

    Paul

You will need to remove the oil pressure switch and attach an oil pressure gauge

    Thank You.

Would anyone know what sort of pressure is considered OK??

    Cheers,

    Paul

At 2000 rpm and an oil temperature of 80 °C the oil pressure should be at least 2.0 bar.

    Hi,

Thanks for the info, the problem I have will be starting it to test it!!

It sounds like the compression is low as it spins.

    Oh, Oh!!

    Cheers,

    Paul

I think the reason for no compression,is that the manifold flap motor is not opening,i'am not 100% sure but i think, if there is no oil pressure, the ECU will not open the flap. However even turning the engine by the starter you should get a certain reading.
