    Default damp smell & wet windscreen – 06-12-2009,10:30 PM
    hi the missis is having trouble with a damp smell and wet windscreen in the morning
    the car sometimes doesnt get get used for a few days but even when its used daily it still get pretty wet on the screen
    any ideas what thats all about

    a4 53 reg 1.9 tdi

    Has it got a sun roof? If so check the drain on that aren't blocked.

    Are your carpets damp?

    Check the bulkhead drains, is the front pax carpet wet ?
    A4 2.5 tdi QS (mapped)

    Have a look around the car battery to see if theres water build up in the bulkhead
    A4 2.5 tdi QS (mapped)

    Blocked drains then, give them a clean, there's one under the brake servo too....

    Its best to take the battery out, get your hand in and have a poke around.
