    Hi ,

my gf bought a second hand golf about 4 weeks ago and she says she only tried the horn for the first time yesterday and it didn't work.

You can hear a click noise when u push the horn down like a push switch pusing in but nothing happens.

Anyone any idea how to fix it?? Cang even find the horn in the engine!!

If it clicks you probably need a new horn. Once they corrode they often just click or grunt. You can get an aftermarket one from euro car parts that should do the trick.

Thanks, the car is only 3 years old!! Is there a guide on how to take the horn out do you know??

The click noise is inside the steering wheel.

i changed mine about the same time... (3 years) as well. think its the location of the horn which is too low, and when water gets in (passing by flash floods), it will spoil the horn.
