Hi, as that is my first post i would like to say hello to all of you!

second thing - sorry for my english.

Now get in to the problem. About 2 weeks ago i have bought 2003 a3 2.0 tdi BKD 140 bhp, after testing the car on the road i have pluged in vag com to see if there are any errors, ecu was clear so i paid the money and take the car, after a week i noticed that the antifreez is dissapearing, add some on and it dessapeard again. there is no other problems with the car, oil is clear, antifreez is fine, there is no preasure in the cooling system, so i went to the garage as i thought there will be some leak, after an hour the guy from garage ring me with bad news, that the head has got a crack and it will need new head.

the question is, what can i do ? the cost of repair would be about 1.7k ! any chances that the dealer should pay for the repair ? as the garage said that the reason of selling the car by the past owner was the cracked head.

can i claim it in any way ? get my money back ang give the car back ? wonted to ask you before i speak to the dealers...

    many thanks for any advice.

i would be straight back to the dealer you purchased the car from. under the sales of goods act, they are obliged to help you out. welcome to the forum by the way. no need to apologise for your english, i think its rather good actually, better in fact than some natives of this land.

simply explain to the dealer what you have told us on here. he would probably want to see the car to confirm exactly what the fault is, or get his garage to see it. what have your garage actually done, have they removed the head?
