What should be Passat v6 2,8 l engine real rpm ? Now it´s 640rpm

Here are the idle speeds for emission checks on the 2.8litre (AMX) engine which is what my 2003 model has. I should think the idle speeds for different versions will all be similar if not the same:

Idle speed and ignition timing are non adjustable.
A digital readout of the idle rpm can be obtained with a vag-com interface.
