Check when the cambelt was last changed and also the gear oil if it's a multitronic

Cambelt should be changed every 60k miles or 5 years, whichever is soonest. No need to worry about alloys for insurance if it's standard.

I was considering once I have the car would it be prudent to take it to an indie audi specialist for to have it checked out maybe even a full service and if required a cam belt change to ensure that all is fine with it

test drive seemed fine but maybe worth it ?

if not I could return it to the garage under warranty then

If you bought it from a garage and it has a warranty then no need as the garage might have already done this (check the service book) but if the service is due (or coming up), might as well get that done at the same time as the cambelt.

Or you could have asked the garage to chuck in a free service before you bought if it's due?

I have had a quick scout about dealership deals and the

    £49.99 MOT

including MOT protection which covers up to £750 wide range of repairs

does this seem too good to be true or actual quite a good deal?

    thanks

Be careful with that deal. When I enquired it was £49.99 on TOP of the £53.50 for the MOT!
