Hi

I am desperate for help to solve my car cutting out. It is a 1.9 TDI, ATD engine. It will start and run as normal and I can leave it running in the drive all day with out problem. If I drive on the road it will go less than 3-4 miles before cutting out and refusing to restart. It will eventually restart either after 10 mins or some times a few hours. It them runs fine again to get it home or t the garage. This happens virtually every journey and usually going up a hill but not always.

The fuel pump has been changed £££! and the fuel pump relay. The crank angle sensor has been checked and no fault codes are recorded. The garage have no idea what the problem is.

My thoughts were it was a temperture sensor fault or the crank angle sensor but no fault codes. I am now going to investigate the electronic throttle or the inlet flap and all the electrical connections/earth connections.

Any other thoughts/directions I should consider? The car is unusable at the moment apartfor sitting in it and running the engine.!

Any thoughts welcome
