Hi there everyone. I'm just after a little advice about tuning my 1998 A3 1.8T. I'm currently in the process of doing a few mods before i eventually have it remapped. I've fitted the obligatory K&N, and will in the coming weeks fit a front mounted intercooler, and milltek cat back exhaust although i will also completley remove the CAT.

My question is basically in all your opinions are the above mods worth their while??

Will the front mounted intercooler make that much difference in respect of how much boost it can be pushed to during the remap?

Can the de cat cause excessive stress on the turbo?

Would it be worth my time and money fitting an electronic boost controller??

Ps. I will be having a custom map installed, not live mapping!

    Thanks for all you time,
    Chris. x
