I was in the pub with a few friends at the weekend and we were discussing what to do for our 40th's in a few years time. I suggested either a trip over to the Nurburgring or Le Mans.

I know a few people on here have visited both of these, I'm keen to hear your opinions / experiences of them.

    ok,

I have been to Le Mans, I've driven up the Mulsanne straight in a traffic jam, ive seen where certain corners are and where the track would go if it was setup as a track. There is a museum you can go round but you can not drive the track.

We all know you can drive round the nurburgring.

Really you should be asking, Nurburgring or Monaco.

I have been to Monaco as a kid and dad drove our car round the circuit, although it is public roads, it it possible even if it took 20 to 30 mins.

    I'd go to the nurburgring.

Going to Le Mans is nothing to do with driving around IMO, I've been to the 24hr for the last 3 years running and aim to do it again next year, time permitting.

If you like beer, people, and motorsport, and have been to a music festival or at least know what to expect at one, then you'll have a great time

Everyone should go to Le Mans for thr 24hr in my opinion, the atmosphere is excellent.

Thanks for your comments gents. I should have said that we'd be going to Le Mans for the 24 hour, not to drive round it.
