Hi Folks. I have a strange problem with my indicators and I could really do with your collective help. The indicator relay in my 2001 130 TDI SE Estate keeps on doing the clicketty-clicks well after the indicator has been cancelled, although it does not actually flash the indicators. I replaced the relay first of all, but that did not solve the problem. It drives me mad and I am just about ready to have the stem replaced. That will be expensive though, as it means taking the steering wheel/etc off. Big bag of Toffee's toanybody that can help.....Please.

Do you mean you replaced the hazard relay which is also the indicator relay ? If that didn't work you may well have an indicator switch fault.

I have a 2002 1.9TDi with the AWX engine code with the same problem. My research through this and other forums would suggest that the fault is the indicator switch on the steering wheel column. The steering wheel must be removed to change this and I have been having trouble getting the airbag off so I've just booked it into a local mechanic to do the work on Wednesday. I bought the new switch off ebay for £22 delivered whereas the local VW dealer was looking £45. Here is a link to the ebay seller...http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...fvi%3D1&_rdc=1
