In response to another post on the site, I gave the turbo wastegate linkage on my 97 T Sport some lubrication as I had reason to believe it was sticking. The difference in performance after doing this was amazing with the power delivery from the turbo being much more apparent. However, after only around 100 miles the wastegate appears to be sticking again. I suspect this is a result of any lubrication burning off / drying up (due to high operating temp of turbo). Does anyone know of a more permanant fix for this (copper grease???).

There is around 5mm of tarvel between what feels like the 'open' and 'closed' positions (access very tight). Is this about right? Also, there is some squeeking from inside the turbo as the wastegate is opened and closed by manually moving the linkage.

Any suggestions for a permanant fix greatfully receieved.

Thanks
