    As Requested

    Engine Stone cold

Cold engine after start up, idled a little rough but i gave it a rev and then as soon as it settled i took the screen shot (at the most it ran for 3-5 seconds)

Took the car for a run, and on my return took a screen shot of the hot idle

Then left the car for 10 minutes, came back out and tried to start it. Took two attempts though.

I took the screen shot quick and the PD values look a little odd, but they disappeard after a few seconds

..continued to let the car idle for a few minutes and took another shot

...so guru's... what do you recon?

That is what i was looking for,2nd screen cyl 4 the values are way off.I can't tell you what to do,but if it were my car i would first try replacing the wiring harness and if that didn't help then replace injector 4. What do you think Crasher?

I know the manual says wait 1 minute for group 18 but I find unless they say 0 immediately all the time and to me all four are all over the place, they all look suspect and I would take a deep breathy and go for fitting four exchange Bosch units and pray I had judged it correctly. The critical details when fitting new injectors are checking the bores for damage when they are out and then dialling the new injectors in accurately with new adjuster screws and a new injector harness is a must. Even with Bosch exchange units you are still looking at a £1300-£1400 job.

That would probably solve his problem, although it's going to cost him a lot of money.I had the same problem with a vehicle, not so long ago and the values were similar,I replaced the harness first but that didn't help,i then replaced the PD unit which was way off,and the problem was solved..

Yes but which one would you go for seeing as though 1, 2 and 4 look off in one screen and 3 and 4 look off in another, I would hate to have to guess which ones to replace.

Well seems as tho there's light at the end of the tunnel... Could a blooming expensive tunnel.

But thanks again for your input guys

Right my thoughts atm (however i've been up since 5:45 and just eaten a curry ! So my thinking may be off)

first thoughts are that £1300 is a lot of cash .....had a look on eBay and I could get an AJM engine for £600 with 86k (which is 40k less than mine) me and the bro could fit an engine, it's the diagnosing which is bloody hard !

    However that's still £600

so I like the idea of the injector wiring loom and pd unit (what ever it is!) and not sure how much ££

any thoughts? ....(hold on just noticed there are some more replies)

but I'm also tempted to get hold of some second hand injectors, have them cleaned and spray patterns checked etc etc cheaper than exchange units? But I would not be fitting them myself !!!

The PD unit is an injector, i.e. choosing THE one at fault. Second hand PD units are a mugs game and they cannot be spray pattern checked.

Ok, so if im following correctly,

    suggestion:

    1 - wiring for injectors

2 - change an/all injectors (or pd units)

Hear what your saying about second hand injectors.... we'll i dont know.

Think im going to have to think about this......
