I thought you could buy a VW kit that contained the wiring loom and then just needed to be enabled in the software...I'll see if I can find the info I had when I was looking at it and post a link here.

I've recently had cruise control fitted in my 2009 CC by a main dealer.
Originally they quoted £150 but before the booking day they phoned to say that they could not carry out the modification as the CC had a slightly different wiring setup. On the day of the booking they called again to say that it could in fact be done but required an additional loom piece at extra cost. As they had messed me about, they covered the extra cost.
They also had an issue coding it and VW Germany were no help. I ended up coding it myself with a VAG.COM and instructions from the internet.

My advice is to go to an independant specialist. The main dealer don't know jack!

There must be a million threads about this! Try the search function dude! Its perfectly possible and the wiring will be in place, you just need a new cruise switch and some VAG-COM coding.
