Hi All, Im a newbie to the site. I have an 04 All Road with 65K on the clock. Weve had it for 2 years and I love it. Have just had the front link arms replaced. And I am wondering about what the next big bill is going to be.

To be fair it does get a bit of a hammering (North London speed bumps 5 days a week and Wales at weekends and we cover about 12,000 miles a year). Bought the car as we do pony club stuff and I was not going to have Chealsea Tractor parked outside just for the odd weekend in the mud.

The excellent chaps at Universal Audi say that the next big one is the Cam belt between 60 and 80k and they do a good price on that - but another allroad owner I have met (who sold his) said at 85,000 miles we are going to be "hit" with the cam belt and "everything else" for about £8000

Any one else find their 2.5's needing the same treatment at 85k?

Bit of a late reply this as haven't been on the site for a while (sorry!). I have an 05 Allroad tdi manual. 80k is the cambelt and major service point and I have had all of this carried out. However! I too live in the land of ridiculous garage bills(London) and it really pays to shop around. My local Audi quaoted £750 for the cambelt and £350 for the service. Another (nearly local) dealer quoted me £1500 for the cambelt and £450 for the service.......

A drive up to Stafford Audi north of Birmingham saw these prices very very slashed (by more than 50% at the time - not sure how they are pricing now). £30 in diesel well worth the cost!
