    Hi guys,

I am looking to replace my clutch and the flywheel hopefully by the end of this month, I have found the parts and they are very cheap than Euro Car Parts. the Price is £306 inc p&p. ECP are charging me £406.

I just wanted to ask, how much would a specialist or any mechanic will charge to replace these parts?

I got mine done in Dublin (clutch and DMF) on a 2.4 A4 Cab for €400 (I got the parts from eurocarparts). It made a huge difference.

Note for the V6 engines they have to drop the engine, not sure about for the other models - this takes time. I was told by a few places that it takes approx 6-8 hours.

also only give it to someone who sounds confident that they know what they are doing. This is not an easy job and they could do serious damage that could prove too expensive for a small guy to fix.

    Regards,

    W.

I have heard it almost takes a whole day to replace the flywheel, cause you need to take the gearbox off.

Tell me a car that you don't have to take the gearbox off to change the flywheel?
