    hello,

today and after a short calm journey, i noticed a loss of power in the car. no juddering or anything but just the car wouldnt drive as it used to. then i noticed the engine management light on while the car is running, (yellow light).
i have checked the oil, its still there, the car revs fine while in neutral, accelerates but then the loss of power and then just wouldnt pick up in any of the gears!! there is no excessive smoke so am more or less satisfied that the turbo is probably still in tact.
PLZ help ! what could it be??? has the **** hi the fan and splashed it all over my face or?
reps appreciated!!! plz audi people! anyone had something like that??

You will really need a Diagnostic Scan to see if any faults are logged to start the problem solving.

I had to do some diagnostics for a local garage with a 2.0TDi with the same sort of symptoms. It was the EGR valve but it could be many things. You definitely need a diagnostic scan for a better idea of the fault.

Oh dear. How much of that is the fitting? I was surprised to find that they are cheaper than I thought, the price for the part definitely starts with a 1.

the valve itself cost 183 quid, labour was 143!!!!and with some vat and diagnostics it added up to 385 quid, but anyways i was relieved to know it wasnt the turbo charger.
but the **** hit the fan and splashed it on my face cause ive got the aa parts warranty (450 Ł), but the ***** dont cover the egr valve. really ******.

How the hell doesn't it cover the EGR valve? What's the point in having it if it doesn't cover a failure?!

Glad you got it fixed though.
