    .................fuel economy has bombed .

Have the bleeders updated the Multitronic software whilst it was in?????

The DIS was always a tad out but would manage mid 40's no prob during day to day driving.
    Now it's mid 30's!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I drove like Miss Daisy on Saturday on a regular run and managed 45mpg.
Towards 55 would not be un-heard off on the same trip pre dealer visit.

Before you manual guys get carried away, yes.......MPG will always be better with left foot stabbing and lever throwing......and yes, I am more than happy to pay a bit more for my motoring for the relaxing drive of 'D' and the fun of 8 forward ones and paddles to play with.

But..............what have they done to my car

    Anyone else this prob???

Had mine done about 10 days ago - about the same time as yours, iirc.

OK, so haven't done many miles since then, but I haven't noticed any difference in consumption to date.

Mine only went in for that fix, although I don't know what the Audi procedure is wrt checking the central database for other outstanding items (although Camberley Audi seem to always reset the changes made by vagcom - thanks mfgf and kite!).

    Cheers GP,

Mine went in only for 3G update also, but who knows what they get upto.........

Good to have the services of mfgf / kite nearby to sort the vagcom, I could do with some fellows like that over here to do some bits for me.

I thought the new "autos" were actually giving better mpg due to changing at optimal times rather than leaving it to us idiots?

Anyway is it really worse or just the DIS saying it's worse?

    Hi Scotty,

    Defo worse......I think.

MPG is pretty good IMO. 50+ from a car of this size and 140+ bhp is quite impressive. So although not in manual league it is still good and like the dip of auto's of old.
