    got a strange noise when realeasing the gas pedal like some metel is vibrating thinking it the heat shield had anyone had this problem the car is a audi a4 1.9 tdi 115 sports first i thougt it was the one way clutch on the alternator ad it changed noise still there

    check the catalytic converter when the monolith breaks up it rattles like a tin of nails

    wats the best way to check it mate another thing this noise only happens after i drive the car for about ten minutes and it warms up when its cold it dont happen is the cat expensive to change thanks for your help

    Audi A4 1.9TDI Quattro Sport in Black - Remap, Turbo Dynamics Re-Balanced Turbo, De-Cat, EGR Mod, K&N Panel filter, RS4 RARB, S4 Track Rod Ends, Koni FSD's, 320m DTM brakes up front and retro fit cruise.
    Factory fit - HID's (Osram Intense 5k's fitted), Bose, Comfort Pack, Folding Mirrors, Ambient Light pack.

    the best way to check the cat is get under the car and just tap it with your hand if its gone you will hear it rattle , i got one off ebay for 80 quid delivered

    tapping the cat is fine, but if all the guts has been spued out ,youll hear nothing.
    my mate had 1995 2.0 80 coupe, and there was absolutely nothing in it when I changed it after the mot failure ,just a point.
    he got new cat for around 60 quid at euro car parts, then it passed mot
