    Hi,

I've got an A4 1.8T and fancy changing the steering wheel to a 3 spoke one with the S badge on the bottom.

I've had a look on ebay and im not sure how much I should be looking to pay for one. They all seem to come without the airbag unit and im obviously gonna need one of those so I'll have to buy one of those unless it includes it.

Also how hard is it to get the steering wheel off without setting the airbag of.

    Regards

    Dave

watcha dave! they aint cheap - they usually sell on ebay for £100 ish with the airbag. i bottled out on removing mine and took it to shrewsbury audi but im sure one of the experts on here will tell u a safe way to do it. i would have thought disconnecting the battery would do it but thats a guess. all the best!

My father in law has got the problem with the ABS light, he's away this weekend so not had a chance to chat to him about it.

My Audi doesnt seem to have the power I think it should, I've read that the MAF ( mass air flow meter) might need looking at, but they seem to cost loads as well.

Is there any way to recon it?

if its the same as mine you can take it off and clean it with some carb cleaner or other solvent degreaser. its a thin sensor thats in the airflow path inside a tube located either next to or inside the airbox. mines got an induction kit so im a bit vague on how to find it sorry. you can get non genuine mafs from various places for around 50 quid, there are some usa made mafs that seem to be ok on ebay. have a look on your logbook for the engine code - 3 letters before the engine number and let me know what they are.
