Just wanted your thoughts really...

im very interested in buying a golf gti which i posted on this website a while back and have seen a one i like.
i was wondering if anyone would recommend a hpi source to use? ive googled it and theres loads available some for 40 quid some for only a tenner! anyone have any recommendations?

btw does anyone know a rough price for a timing belt change on a mrk 4 golf? 51 reg?

Never used a HPI checker before personally, but my cousin did use this:

No complaints, so maybe thats ok.

As for the timing belt change, i believe it depends on where you get it done from. A local trusted garage will not charge a heavy price which VW do.

I called vw 3 months ago, asking the price for a timing belt change and they quoted £395 all in
