M reg 1.8 GL (8v) Golf. As I open the bonnet there's a plastic 'manifold' piece attached to the front of the engine block. It has three coolant hoses connected, and an electrical sensor.

Mine has cracked and leaks water. Any clues as to where this part is called and where I can get another one from?

    Thanks guys.

Cylinder head front water housing, assuming you have an AAM or ABS engine, the part number is 037 121 132 E plus you will need one each of 357 121 140, N 903 168 02, 032 121 142 plus an extra N 903 168 02 for resealing the coolant temp sender. Funnily enough you can buy these from a Volkswagen dealer for about £10 (plus the extra parts) and genuine ones aren’t so prone to cracking or melting and falling off like cheap Chinese copies.
