Had my A4 S-Line Exec for 5 weeks now and love it but me, no glovebox light. Part of the interior light option. Must be the only car on the market that does not have this as standard. I have a little fold out box for my sunglasses and a cargo net in the boot as standard but no bloody glovebox light.

I appreciate that lights were frowned upon in the 1940's but this is 2009 and we have moved on!

Is it possible to either retro-fit this myself or get it done at a dealer as plugging my ipod in when it's dark is a bit hit & miss at the moment.

I agree, no glove box light is rubbish, also is the fact that I don't own any pairs of sunglasses that fit in the sunglasses holder

    Mine's got a light!

Edit: Sorry - I thought you said you DID have the light pack, but still no glove box light.
The light pack should definitely be part of standard equipment.

This is why whenever any one asks about options I say light pack.

It's actually an outrage that Audi don't put this in as standard. They are ripping the **** out of customers.

Though still not sure why I bothered with the Storage Pack - the "storage compartment under the front seats" is so small it's next to useless.

And if you have the memory seats, there isn't even a micro storage thingy under the driver's seat...... I wanted it for the nets behind the front seats, bloody expensive nets

Me too - and in 3.5 months, they haven't been used at all!

    All sorted.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-Spot...pd_sim_light_1

Can get them in black, white or silver. Cannot find details of the size but several sites tout them as useful for gloveboxes. Apparently Asda do something similar & cheaper for a pack of 2. I'll let you know how i get on.

Another one up for the Brits. If i ever bump in to the Director of Audi, Herr imsotightisqueekwheniwalkmeister, i'll ask him if he wants his car washed then ask if he wants to pay extra for soap!

Really, under the driver's seat? There is one under the passenger's seat but I'm fairly sure even the Audi brochures etc specify that there isn't one under the driver's seat.

To be honest, I've not looked as I was lead to believe it wasn't there.

I reckon my dealer would have a heart attack if I tried to return the car as unfit for purpose or miss-sold or something due to a missing, teeny weeny little storage thingy I would never put anything in anyway. I suppose it's just about big enough for a mars bar.......
