Audi A4 130 TDI Sport

Hi there, I wonder if anyone can help with info on this problem. My Audi A4 130 TDI sport 2004 model has engine vibration at low speeds. Over 40 mph it's as smooth as silk?

Mine had similar vibrations and it ended up being the alternator pully which apparently has a clutch built into it.

It could be the flywheel, worth taking it to a specialist!!

I would of thought the alternator belt pulley clutch would give problems when at low revs with full lock on steering. Well that's what mine did and it was seized solid.
Gives a shakeing bad vibration felt through the steering.

Is it a speed, RPM or load/boost related vibration?

It is more noticeable at low revs when accelerating and eases of when cruising.

The garage which does all my work check it out and tells me it normal for a diesel engine to have this sort of vibratation. Said the engine mountings and the alternator were ok. So no futher forward.
