I have just bought an A4 '03 TDi Avant (Excellent Choice) and have noticed these noises also. You can hear vents opening / closing , motor noises coming from the centre of the dash and then from the passenger side dash even when the car is off and the key is out. The noises seem to have a regular cycle like motor noise, vent noise, motor noise, motor noise, vent noise etc .... I suspect this is probably normal Dual Climate Control noise , it's just wierd that it does this when the key is out for up to 10 mins .... anybody shedding any light on this would be greatly appreciated

    hi
i think it lasts for about 10 mins because your electric windows do as well
but as soon as that stops working the flap noise stops so i think it must shut down any un used eletric drains so battery does not fail
i don,t know if flap noise should be like this or not asked a few people
    but they arn,t sure

    thanks mark
