    Hi Guys,

    Need some advice if possible.

I have just bought an A3 S line 2.0 TDI from a private seller.

Everything is great with the car barring 2 small issues:-

    1) I'm 99% sure that it has rear parking sensors but they just don't seem to do anything??

Am I missing something in terms of an on/off switch?
Could it be a fuse issue? If so is this easy to fix myself?
Or is this something I have to get get checked out by Audi and swallow the cost!

    2) The car only came with one key fob and the lock and unlock only works 30% of the time.

I think this is likely to be a key fob issue as it does work on occasions.

What is the best/cheapest way to get a new key fob that works?

I'm also thinking of remapping, will it make a big difference on my model?

    Cheers,

    Simon

    Hi Simon,
You can check your parking sensors with vag-com, that will tell you where your prob is with them. I take it you do have them? you should have what looks like small rings evenly spaced on your rear bumper.
Find a local auto sparky that advertises key programming and he should be able to sort both your probs..
A remap on your model gains 30bhp/75nm torque, which transform the way it drives..making it far better at low speed when you need to pull away and it is a bit sluggish..
Just give us a shout if you need any more info mate....

Thanks for the reply. Yep the small rings were what made me realise I had parking sensors but they haven't worked since getting the car.

Will contact a local auto sparky to get those problems fixed.

How much will it cost to remap my car?

    Cheers for all your help,

    Si
