Heater will not warm up

Hi,

I purchased a 2004 A4 at the weekend. The problem I have is that everything works ok on the heater except it will not get warm. Any ideas what this could be?

Does the engine temp gauge go to 90'c ?

No warm air will more than likley mean the thermostat is stuck closed. (i have replaced mine twice.)

Also check that you dont have an air lock.

also feel the hoses at the bottom of the intake to the radiator when engine is upto temp, (be careful though) unless you have a digital thermometer.

The car heats up to 90'c OK.But only one of the heater hoses got warm.
