    Hello Gents,
Bit of a prob with my digital display heater blower. Far as I can tell the digital display works fine. However, when I turn the blower on it works fine for about 30 secs then slowly dies and makes a funny noise!!! This happens whether the air is aimed at the windshield, floor or me . Any ideas Fellas??? My car is a 1998 2.8 Quattro avant.

Really easy job, remove glovebox and you'll see the blower right in front of you. You need to remove a bit of the metal bracket above it to give you enough room to remove the old unit. Then it's just 3 screws and unplug the connector and you're done.
A new unit is only about £40 these days, it's made by Valeo:

The brushes wear out, which is why it becomes intermittant.
