flashing oil light

ive recently had an oil/filter change because a few weeks ago my oil light symbol started to flash on the dash computer. now ive had the oil change the computer keeps flashing so im wondering is this because the computer needs to be reset now the works been carried out or can it be a fault that maybe i could sort myself? the garage said it could be a number of things and could take a few hours lto trace the fault which obviously means forking out a lot of cash just to stop a flashing oil can

have you check the oil level, could be a sensor issue.

i went back to the garage who performed the oil/filter change and it was to the level. they said it could be a number of things.
