I was caught up in the Tesco fiasco and had the oxygen sensor changed. However, the engine management light has come on again with the message on the AA mans fault diagnostic equipment as 'Oxygen Sensor CO2 Bank 1'.
Could anyone tell me if this is the sensor nearest the engine or the other one? I have already had this one changed and I don't want to pay again for the same job or could it be something else?

    Any help would be great.

bank1 is nearest to the engine...i lived locally when fuel problem and being mechanic found it funny how everyone instisted that the problem with their car during that week was due to the fuel...everyone thinks a mechanic is a liar and customers always think they know best....being a mechanic you just never get an easy life.

funny story for u.,...i recently had a guy who brought his car in cos it wouldnt start...no fuel in tank...put fuel in tank and car starts fine,.....customer raging and wudnt belive that was the cause....i think he wanted something to be wrong with the car and to be ripped off.

Took the car back to the garage where they confirmed it was the CO2 sensor I had already replaced and are replacing it on Friday.
Incidentally, the garage (Locks Heath Garage) I use is excellent and they helped to get the £485 refund from Tesco for the iffy fuel problem.
I've never had a problem with independent garages I've found it's usually bad customer service from the dealership admin never the mechanics themselves.
    Thanks Again.
