    Ive just had a new multitronic gear box ecu and could any body tell me if audi service the gearbox at the same time and do they change the oils and where do you find out what shift your gearbox has my a6 2.5tdi is a 04 plate

    They should change the fluid by purging out the system but probably only do a standard fill to keep the cost down. I like to change the filter as well.

    how many plates do you think my 2.5 tdi v6 have its a 2004 and if it was faulty wouldnt audi tell me that it was faulty when they did the ecu?????

    It has a GJT code box with a seven plate clutch pack.

    Software I have for work ID’s the car, gives me the chassis number then ETKA (the parts system) I have live with what is called FI suggestion which pin points the parts fitted to your car when new.
