Hi guys! had my current Astra SRi 2.2 for almost 2 years now (had 2 other Astra's before that) and im starting to get bored of Astra's!

Was out doing some shopping earlier and an absolutly beut VW Bora TDi pulled up next to me and i just want one!

what i want to know is, what are the main spec's out there, and which is a top end one? i bascially want a good spec'd one!

checked on parkers site, and its got 1.8, 2.0, 1.9 etccc all with different BHP's... if i go to look at a TDi for instance, how can i tell what power it has?

Also, if anyones got any pictures of some subtley modded Bora's could you post them up please! also any hint and tips on buying one would be cool!

    Cheers chris!

P.s. is the rear suspension on bora's beam or independent legs?

ok, let me point you to this thread

    https://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/s...t=new+to+boras

it is comprehensive, covers all of what you need, including how to tell what power your car is

if you're after the 'top' of the range car, with the highest power, you should be looking for a 1.9 tdi 150bhp highline. if you're looking for the highest powered petrol, there are a few 2.8 v6 4motions to be found......

any questions other than those covered in that thread above, feel free to ask

nooooooooooooooooo LOL read the whole thread first dont ever go off the badges, there is a 3 digit engine code (eg mine is AJM) thats what you need to determine the power!
